The History of Wonderland Homes

A Classic British Park Home Builder

(Anyone have a copy of Wonderland Homes real logo, let me know.)

Wonderland Homes was a prominent manufacturer of residential park homes in the UK, reaching the height of their popularity throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Building to the rigorous BS 3632 residential standard, they provided thousands of park home residents with dependable, spacious, and comfortable year-round living. Though they are no longer in operation, their footprint across British residential parks remains substantial.

The company earned a fantastic reputation within the industry for their incredibly solid construction and structural integrity. Because they were built with such robust "bones", a Wonderland home is known for standing the test of time far better than some of its contemporaries. It is precisely this durability that makes them such excellent candidates for modern refurbishment and exterior insulation projects today.

While their original brochures have largely been lost to time, several distinct models frequently appear on the secondary market. The most famous is the highly sought-after Dorchester, usually found as a spacious double unit. Other recorded models that park home spotters should look out for include the Newbury Lodge and the more compact Wimborne, alongside many standard models simply listed by their dimensions.

Wonderland Homes officially ceased trading and was dissolved in 2014, marking the end of their manufacturing era. Today, any Wonderland model you encounter will be a piece of park home history. Thanks to their enduring build quality, these classic homes continue to change hands as highly desirable "pre-loved" properties, ready to be enjoyed by a new generation of park home residents.
